Who we are

THE BACKROOM STIRLING LTD (company number SC903416, registered in Scotland) is responsible for personal information collected through this website and through emails sent to us. Our venue is at 72A Murray Place, Stirling. Contact info@thebackroomstirling.com for privacy questions. The venue address is not necessarily the company's registered office.

Information and purposes

When you email us, we receive the contact details and information you choose to send. We use these to answer enquiries, discuss bookings or membership, and manage your requests. We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries or taking steps you request before entering an agreement. If you expressly ask to join the opening list, we use your email to send those updates on the basis of your consent. Membership and booking systems are not yet live.

Our hosting provider may process technical information such as IP address and request logs to deliver and secure the site. The site stores your cookie preferences in your browser. We do not currently load optional analytics or marketing scripts. See the Cookie Policy.

Marketing choices

An enquiry or membership request does not automatically subscribe you to marketing. If you request opening updates, you can withdraw that choice at any time by emailing us with “unsubscribe” in the subject. We will then stop sending those updates.

Sharing and retention

Website hosting and email providers process information on our behalf. We do not sell personal information. We keep enquiry correspondence only while needed to handle the request and related administration, then review and delete it when no longer needed. Opening list details are kept until you unsubscribe or the list is retired. Any future booking or payment service will be described here before it is introduced.

International processing

Some hosting or email providers may process information outside the UK. Where that happens, we rely on applicable safeguards required by UK data protection law. Ask us if you want more detail about the providers used for your correspondence.

Your rights

You may ask for access, correction or deletion of your information, object to or restrict some processing, and withdraw consent to opening updates. Other rights, including portability, apply in certain circumstances. Contact us at the email above. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Changes

We will update this notice when our services or data practices change, including when online booking or membership forms launch.
